This smoke alarm has a non-replaceable 10-year lithium battery. Lento 10 has been designed to last its entire lifetime since it's recommended to change smoke alarms every 10 years. Also, Lento 10 smoke alarm has a self-diagnostic feature that checks itself regularly to ensure that the fire alarm is operating properly throughout its life.
The entire front surface funtions as a test button for silencing false alarms and testing the performance. A smoke alarm gives a signal of 85 decibels. The smoke alarm is easy to install with 3M double sided tape or with mounting screws that come with the package. The Lento 10 smoke alarm is approved for all EU countries. It has been tested and certified according to the CE EN 14604.
The Lento 10 smoke alarm uses optical smoke detection technology which is the most advanced, most commonly used and the most reliably technology available.
The smoke alarm was designed by Paola Suhonen, a Finnish designer, film maker and musician who's especially known for her fashion brand, Ivana Helsinki.

In Finland you should place one smoke alarm per starting 60 square meters per a floor, but please check the requirements from your local fire safety officials.
